Significant progress continues at the park site as enter the final phase of construction. Over the past month the sidewalks have been poured, the bridge, and splash pad surfaces have been installed and the playground equipment installation is nearly complete. Forney Construction is pushing to finish ahead of their June 28 contracted deadline.

The park construction is well underway! Contractors have been clearing and grading the site. As part of the District’s commitment to preserving existing trees, more than 50 large trees are being relocated. In addition, excavation has begun on the pond and new utilities are being installed throughout the site. Over the next few weeks, we will begin work to expand the existing parking lot to make room for future park visitors.
