
Corporal Dennis Cowan has proudly served in law enforcement for 15 years, all of which have been with Precinct 4. Corporal Cowan holds a Master Peace Officer License, the highest level of certification for Texas peace officers. In addition to his law enforcement experience, he serves as a Field Training Officer (FTO) and is a state-certified paramedic, bringing a unique skill set and wealth of knowledge to his role.
Throughout his career, Corporal Cowan has been recognized for his professionalism and leadership, earning the 100 Club Officer of the Year Award in 2002 and completing the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy leadership program. Before entering law enforcement, he worked in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and decided to pursue a career in policing as a way to continue serving others while taking on new challenges.
When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Corporal Cowan's answer is simple: serving the community. He takes great pride in helping residents, building relationships, and working to keep neighborhoods safe. His dedication to public service and commitment to the citizens of Precinct 4 continue to make a positive impact throughout the Bridgestone community.
