Director Elections
Below are the timelines and legal requirements for the District’s Board of Directors Elections pursuant to House Bill 305, Section 2051.152.

The location(s) of the election will be posted upon determination. The election shall be conducted at the polling places established by Harris County to serve the county’s regular election precincts within the District, as required by Sections 42.0621 and 43.004 of the Texas Election Code. Similar to its most recent prior election, the District anticipates that Harris County will authorize voters to vote at the voting locations established by Harris County.
Timeline:
First Day to file for General Election Ballot January 17, 2024
Last Day to file for General Election Ballot February 16, 2024
Election Day May 4, 2024
Candidate Requirements
For Interested Candidates
To run for election to the District’s Board of Directors, a person must file an application for a place on the ballot. Applications for a place on the ballot may be obtained from the District’s Agent for the Election, Radcliffe Bobbitt Adams Polley PLLC, whose offices are located at 2929 Allen Parkway, Suite 3450, Houston, Texas 77019, or downloaded here, from the Secretary of State’s website. To review the General Requirements for Application in its entirety, please see (Texas Election Code 141.031)
Requirements for filing for candidacy:
Please contact Radcliffe Bobbitt Adams Polley PLLC, the District’s designated agent for elections, if you have any questions related to the District’s May 7, 2022 Directors Election at (713) 237-1221 or by email at amiller@rbaplaw.com.
To be eligible to be a candidate for the position of Director, a person must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be a resident citizen of the State of Texas; and
- Either own land subject to taxation in the District or be a qualified voter within the District.
Park Bond Election
Saturday, May 6, 2023
Voting will take place at the District’s MUD Operations & Water Education Center.
The Park Bond Election will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Early voting will be held at the following days and times:
Monday, April 24, 2023 – Friday, April 28, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Monday, May 1, 2023 – Tuesday, May 2, 2023, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
La votación se llevará a cabo en el Centro de Educación de Agua y Operaciones MUD del Distrito.
La Elección de Bonos para Parques se llevará a cabo el sábado 6 de mayo de 2023, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
